Tuesday May 19th to Friday May 22nd
Hi Everyone, hope you had a nice LONG WEEKEND! It looks like summer is here with all this nice warm weather lately!
Hopefully you can enjoy it, get active and get outside. BUT at the same time please take some time to get your school work done. You only a little over a month of school left so buckle down and get your assignments in!
I will be posting marks on Power School this week so you can see how your last few assignments have been graded.
And finally, my plan is to email students with a Progress Report this week in order to remind students about some outstanding assignments.
Here's the Plan for the Week
MATH
** New Topic this week. It is called "Translations" and it involves taking a design/shape and moving it on the Co-ordinate plane. The shape no matter what it is does not change size it just moves to a different location on the co-ordinate plane.
You will need to remember how to plot points.
(remember x comes before y) You move Horizontally x first and then Vertically y second
Please watch the Intro Video below before trying the assignments.

Hi Everyone, hope you had a nice Holiday weekend! Hope you are continuing to be safe and managing to get a little bit of school work complete.
** I will be sending out an Email to all of you and your Parents in the next few days that will outline how our Online Learning will look going forward. So be on the lookout for that. I will also post it here on the website when it's complete.
But for now here is our work for the week.

Mr. Borsa's tips for the week when Evaluating Expressions
- Remember in Algebra when you have a letter (variable) next to another letter that means you have to multiply the two values together. If you have a number right next to a letter with no spaces or symbols in between it means the same thing. (You have to Multiply)
- Whenever you are solving equations, or Evaluating Expressions like you are here try to work down the page instead of across. This helps you keep your work lined up and helps to make sure you don't forget to do something.
- In the videos I believe they show multiplication with a dot. If you like that process do that, but I prefer to write brackets around my numbers like I have shown you all year in Algebra.
